Tango DJ JD Reus

Jose David Reus began his artistic career as a DJ at the age of 18, during the era of vinyl and club culture. From the very beginning, he developed a strong technical foundation and a natural ability to read the dance floor and connect with the audience, exploring different musical styles that helped shape his unique sound.

In 1989, he opened his own venue, Disco-Pub Latino, a key project where he consolidated his style and refined his ability to create intense and dynamic atmospheres. During those years, he also expanded his presence in the music scene by hosting a weekly radio programme dedicated to the latest developments in the disco scene.

His artistic curiosity also led him to train in theatre and film acting, taking part in stage productions and audiovisual projects. At the same time, he worked professionally as a sales specialist in sound equipment, gaining extensive technical knowledge of audio and a deeper understanding of the importance of sound quality as an essential part of the musical experience.

Although his DJ career developed from an early age, tango had always been present in his life through the influence of his maternal grandfather, whose roots were in San Juan, Argentina. This personal connection led him, in 2005, to undertake an extensive process of researching, collecting and remastering tangos, valses and milongas. The result is a carefully curated musical collection, recognised for its high sound quality.

In 2008, he founded the milonga “La Pasional” in Benidorm, where he became the resident DJ. The venue remains active today and has established itself as a reference for its authentic atmosphere and its carefully crafted, traditional yet vibrant musicalisation.

With more than 18 years of experience as a Tango DJ, José David Reus has musicalised milongas at major events throughout Spain and in numerous European countries, including France, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Hungary and Norway.

To date, he has musicalised more than 1,000 milonga sets, including more than 100 at international festivals, marathons and tango encuentros.

In addition to being a DJ, he is also a dancer, teacher and organiser, giving him a comprehensive understanding of tango and an accurate reading of the dance floor. His musicalisation is characterised by an intelligent progression of energy, deep respect for tradition and a particular sensitivity to maintaining the emotional atmosphere of the milonga, creating tandas that invite people not only to dance, but also to feel and enjoy the music.

His personal signature lies in the way he guides the energy of the room and builds a musical narrative in which elegance, power and emotion become the protagonists. His musicalisation does not simply accompany the dance floor: it leads it, inspires it and ignites it, turning every milonga into an unforgettable journey.

Tango DJ Pilar Fernandez

Pilar began her training as a dancer in 1976, studying Classical Dance, Spanish Dance and Flamenco. In 1988, she began studying Argentine Tango with prestigious teachers such as Gustavo Naveira, Eduardo Arquimbao and Alejandra Mantiñán.

She has performed as a dancer at various international festivals alongside some of the leading figures of Argentine Tango, including the Sitges International Tango Festival, the Hamburg Tango Festival and the Tarbes Tango Festival.

She has been teaching tango for over 30 years.

In 2011, she began DJing at numerous milongas in Barcelona and Tarragona, as well as at festivals and tango gatherings such as the Barcelona Tango Festival, El Tango y Cava, the Cadaqués Tango Meeting, Tarratangueando and Luna Arrabalera in Alicante.

For the past five years, she has been the resident DJ at her own milonga at Círcol de Reus.

Her nearly 40 years of dedication to tango, together with her experience as a dancer, have given her extensive knowledge of tango music and of the best tracks to dance to.

Her style is lively and dynamic, and she skilfully blends different eras and tango orchestras.

Tango DJ Christian Beyreuther

Christian has been passionate about tango for many years and has been organising milongas and events featuring live orchestras in Regensburg (Bavaria) for a long time.

A few years ago, together with some friends, he founded the traditional milonga Sorriso Milonguero, near Udine, Italy.

His musical approach is also inspired by his experience as a DJ at various tango encuentros, marathons and milongas in Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy and Poland.

His musical style is purely traditional.

Christian looks forward to taking part in many more exciting tango gatherings, keeping his passion for tango alive and continuing to develop it.
