CALPE - Rock of Ifach
The Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac in Valencian) is a huge limestone mass 332 meters high that rises majestically and defiantly off the coast of the tourist town of Calp (Calpe), north of the province of Alicante.

The Peñón de Ifach is an icon of the Costa Blanca, a visual reference not only for the region of the Marina Alta in which it is located, but also for the entire Mediterranean coastline.

This huge rock is a natural space of singular environmental importance and for this reason it was declared a natural park in 1987, being the oldest natural park in the province of Alicante.The Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park is an environmental jewel that is home to various endemic flora (unique species in the world), as well as being an important refuge for birds.

Perching at the top of the Peñón de Ifach is one of the most surprising routes on the Costa Blanca. A route with some difficulty, due to the unevenness to overcome and the steepness of the terrain. Once at the summit, however, the effort is worth it as we enjoy spectacular views.

Around the Rock, is the Princess of Asturias ecological walk, it is a wide pedestrian walk thatIt circulates close to the walls of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park, at the end of it there is an area equipped with a heliport, right at the back of the Peñón de Ifach.A walk with spectacular views, with the sea Mediterranean on one side and the view of the Peñón de Ifach on the other. Toowe will canobserve dozens of birds that fly along the Peñón de Ifach, such as seagulls, albatrosses or cormorants.
The distance from the Hotel to the Peñón de Ifach is 1.600 meters.

CALPE - La Fossa Beach
La Fossa or Levante Beach is one of the best beaches on the entire Mediterranean coast, with fine golden sand, crystal clear waters and a beautiful blue color, so it gives us the feeling of being on a totally paradisiacal beach.
As for the natural environment of La Fossa, it is delimited to the south by El Peñón de Ifach, which allows you to see wonderful views of the Peñón de Ifach from the beach.
This beach has a length of 950 m, with a width of 40 m.
The distance from the Hotel to La Fossa Beach is 300 meters.

CALPE - Fishing Port & Nautical Port
The port of Calpe is located at the foot of the majestic Peñón de Ifach, on its western slope. This circumstance provides shelter and an easy approach. It has a fishing fleet that occupies the area of the contradique, a shipyard located to the southeast and its Yacht Club in the center.
This port has two quite different areas, that of fishermen and that of recreational boating.

The "Real Club Náutico de Calpe" is the port considered the most important in the municipality, it has extensive, highly qualified facilities.
For boat lovers, you can take a pleasant walk and contemplate the variety of moored sailboats and large motor boats.

In the same area of the port a large number of restaurants that present trays full of fish from the bay and seafood, whereprices are shown to fit any pocket.

The Lonja located in the fishing port is the building where the fish auction is held.
The auction takes place from Monday to Friday around 5 p.m. and lasts for about two hours, you can seein first person how the wholesale of fresh fish caught daily by the Calpina fleet is carried out.

CALPE - Las Salinas Natural Park
Another very important Natural Enclave to visit are Las Salinas de Calpe, with a location close to the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park (just 500 meters from the AR Diamante Beach Hotel), with present cultural and social values, in addition to natural ones.

They were of great importance during Roman times, since salt was used to preserve food (fish and meat) and centuries later these fields continued to be of vital importance for the livelihood of many families. The exploitation of this plain continued until 1988 and later it was declared a maritime zone and protected natural area in 1993.

Nowadays, it is worth discovering the beauty of the area through a circular path that runs through this area. The salt flats were developed in an area with a very varied flora and fauna, which each year welcomed flocks of migratory birds, 173 species of birds have been registered, highlighting the populations of the beautiful and elegant Pink Flamingos.
The distance from the Hotel to Las Salinas is 500 meters.

CALPE- Old town
Calpe, one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca, with a warm climate, beaches of fine golden sand, and clean and crystalline waters.
Calpe was originally born as a fishing village and its old town was protected with a wall to stop pirate attacks.

Discover all its details, strolling quietly through this charming place,walking the narrow cobbled streets, and contemplating the alleys full of plants and flowers. The route will surely key you to the Torreó de la Peça, in the Plaza de la Vila, which was part of the double defensive wall that defended the city in the 15th century.

Along the way you can find the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Snows, a unique parish that is also located in the Plaza de la Vila, in the heart of the historic center.
The distance from the Hotel to the Old Town is 2.900 meters.

CALPE- Cove and Port of Les Bassetes
Les Bassetes, is an area of great charm with a quiet cove, it also has a small marina, next to a Diving Club. From it you can see a peculiar and wonderful perspective of the Peñón de Ifach.
From the Paseo de la Playa de La Fossa, you can access an Ecological path, covering severalcoves and on the edge of the cliffs, until you reach the Cala de Les Bassetes.

This trail is called Voramar-Bassetes or Calalga, hYou have to wear suitable footwear, since the floor is dirt, with steps at various points. ANDIt starts at the southern tip of the Playa de La Fossa promenade, and ends at the Les Bassetes marina, and really goes all the way to Benissa, Teulada and even Moraira.
It is a beautiful path where nature, sea views and fresh air mix, making this walk one of the most beautiful in Calpe.

On several occasions we find descents to hidden coves and better known as Cala Mallorquí or Cala Calalga. To get to the port from La Calalga it only takes 15 minutes.
